The San Antonio Food Bank received a grant in 2006 for their Food Stamp Nutrition Education and Outreach program. They continue to educate low-income individuals and families through "hands on" nutrition activities similar to the one shown above.

The Baptist Child and Family Services mobile unit funded in part by the Baptist Health Foundation of San Antonio provides medical screening and assistance to individuals in our region.
Baptist Health Foundation of San Antonio funds were used to purchase Auditory Brainstem Response equipment at Sunshine Cottage School for Deaf Children in San Antonio where this baby is undergoing testing. This equipment measures hearing of children when more conventional hearing tests cannot be conducted.
Signs welcome participants to the second quarterly health fair sponsored by South San Filadelfia Church at Dwight Gym as part of the Community Wellness Network of San Antonio Baptist Association. Funds for the health fair were provided by the Baptist Health Foundation of San Antonio.
Clients at the Health Fair at Dwight Gym, as part of the Community Wellness Network of San Antonio Baptist Association, receive a blood pressure check at Station 1. Health Fairs are held quarterly by South San Filadelfia Church and by West Campus Baptist Church.
At the end of the Health Fair at Dwight Gym as part of the Community Wellness Network of San Antonio Baptist Association, each participant receives an in-depth screening by a healthcare professional. |
